A little advice please

Post  Shelley on September 3rd 2010, 9:35 pm

Hi there I have a nearly 1 year old APH, I normally use a mix of shredded bedding and super absorbant bedding that can be used for all small animals and reptiles. Unfortunatly I cleaned out my hog the other day only to realised I had ran out of normal bedding and used some woodshavings I had at home.
I have noticed that he has some shavings stuck to his tummy and little boys bits! on bathing him these have only become stickier and I cant remove them.
Im a little worried as he is not overly pleased with being dried off and I dont want this area to become sore or painful for him.

Many thanks for your help with this,
Shelley

you really will need to dislodge it from his boy bits as it can go inside ending up with infection and a vets visit

I am so glad you managed to get him sorted, you could give him some kitchen roll for his sleeping area if you get stuck next time, soft and won't do him any harm
