itchy eyes
Hi there, quick question (apologies if this message has already gone out my computer did something strange!)
My hog jackson is doing fine, he is now 1 and i've had him since he was 6 weeks. I on the other hand have developed itchy eyes in the last few days. I thought it may have something to do with him as its always worst when i go to bed and i hold him last thing at night.
I wash my hands of course but do rub my nose on him n kiss him...cant help it! for the last 5 days though I cant stop rubbing my eyes, it's driving me crazy! i've had a good look and cant see anything out of the ordinary, no redness or dry skin, its just the areas where my eyelashes are really itch.
I thought it may be dust coming off him from his bathing sand, I did change brands a while back, but like I said this has only been in the last 5 days. So Im wondering/dreading if this could be a mite or parasite problem on him? I've bathed him and looked closely and cant see anything and he doesn't seem to scratch much but maybe they they are too small for me to see?
If you could please let me know your thoughts and if this has happened to you before and any form of relief it would be very helpful! I appreciate this could be a number of things so next port of call will be the doctor...just thought I'd check in case jackosn needs fixing up too!
thanks xx

Re: itchy eyes
If you suffer from hayfever, with the leaves dropping people with leaf pollen allergies are suffering now. And you can get hayfever at any age. My Mum developed it at 50. So might not be to do with hoggie?

Re: itchy eyes
Not sure I can add much more. I tend to get a bit of a rash after Ody's been annointing, when I hold him. I've been successful in avoiding touching my eyes at that time, so can't say for definite if it might be that. I do, however, have an allergy to cat fur, and that tends to make my eyes really itchy, particularly around the eyelashes area, and the bit closest to the nose. I also get hayfever, and that sometimes can make my eyes a bit itchy.
