Constipation

I noticed that Imogen had not done a poo since I got her yesterday,I was shocked as Otis is a poo machine,about an hour ago she tried to do a poo,which she did but there was blood in it sa what is the best thing to do? Thanks JACKIE FROG

hopefully the blood is just from her straining!

Does she look dehydrated in any way?

Is she a good eater? you could either give her a bit of melon or watery chicken soup (your own blended up) to lap up or even a bit of wet cat food as that contains a lot of moisture

I've heard butternut squash is good for constipation, and they seem to like it too! Hope she's ok, think animal addict is right about the blood (fingers crossed), i'm sure she'll be fine when she's settled in and had a good poop wi

Thank you both,I gave her a lovely warm bath in aveeno oil and she did a huge big sausage poo eh?! lau lau lau

Haven't tried mine on butternut squash .. if i have never used it lau do you just cook it like suede .. ?

i was just reading on it because i was scared that Neo is constipated... affraid his cage was to clean...
my Hubby feed him so many worms he 's done three on the spot Shocked

I was going to suggest a warm bath - when reptiles get constipated it is recommended to give them a warm bath as it stimulates the bowels to get moving - looks like it works for hoggies too. lau
