Pineapple?

Might be a strange one, but are hoggies allowed pineapple?

Harlow won't eat - Carrot
Parsnip
Potato
Peppers

Also, can they have sweetcorn and peas etc?

Im certain they can have sweetcorn as long as it doesnt have any added sugars or salt. I know they can have peas as well but im not sure if theres just a certain type they can have e.g. Marrow fat peas, garden peas etc :/

I dont know about pineapple though! I'm sure somebody will be along to answer soon xxx

Ooo thanks chick ill get her some sweetcorn to try 2mo then iv got a tin in but its in salt water so she can't have it! I'll have to read the info on every tin on the shelf 2mo then, good job she's worth it hope they can have pineapple, I think she would enjoy something juicy lol xxx

I would classify pineapple as one of the "stronger" fruits and thats one of the reasons they arent aloud citrus fruits isnt it? (to acidic/strong)?

And yeah as above says they are aloud sweetcorn and peas, if they eat it that is, mine doesnt lol.

Yeah, that's what made me ask about pineapple (coz its strong!) maybe best steer clear of it then if no one is really sure. I'll buy her a pear or something today when I get her sweetcorn she probs won't eat it anyways as she's a fussy little madam! Bless her. Thanks x

Raw pineapple contains an enzyme called bromelien which works well with the human digestive tract. However, because hedgies have a comparatively poor liver and pancreas function I don't think the additional high dose of bromelien would do them any favours!!

Ooo that's useful info, thanks Denning I had decided not to give her it anyways but its good to have something to back it up! Going to try her with some other treats, will be testing a lot over the next few weeks to hopefully find a little treat she actually likes! She won't even touch mealies!! X

U tried scrambled egg (no milk)? Em loves it so much she comes out of her house whenever she hears a pan go on the stove! Lol

She loves egg (scrambled and boiled) its her favourite! And she likes chicken, she might just be a veggie-phobe!! Not tried any fruit yet tho so I'm going to give that a go thanks x
