a few questions

Hi I was thinking of getting a Tenrec in the future and would like to ask a few questions. I have read the care sheet but I think its good to hear different peoples opinions.

are they similar to the APH, care needs etc?

What do you free feed them? hoggies have cat biscuits so what would you give your Tenrecs?

Do you get them out everyday and give them cuddle time and playtime as we do with the APH? Do they have toys and a wheel?

Some pointers I can think of for starters

They need heat, unlike APHs. Mine have a hot end & a cool end. They dont require so much floor space they like to climb, but personally I dont let mine climb high as they have no vision of height & might fall & get hurt cos they dont realise how high they are

I tried wheels they werent interested. They dont mind being handled but when it comes to play time I'd say there dif as they climb so they go missing then your looking everywhere, curtains the lot.

They eat similar to APH, but tiny amounts & will take fruit & veg also.
