Hoglet weight gain charts/records for reference - post yours here!

Just thought i would make a thread where people can post their hogs weight growth charts or records as it might be good for other hog keepers or newbies to this to compare to what might be average, or compare how different each hog is to another if that makes sense!

Anyway! Here is Kiwi's weight chart - notice i don't weigh at a set time each week - just randomly lol

I think it is a nice gradual growth for her, think she is around 4/5 months old now, cant remember her birth date would have to double check haha

(Got told weight changes depending on if they have pooped or not so maybe a set time would give more accurate results than i have)

mine's 7 1/2 weeks and 195gish (depends whether hes scoffed a load of mealies before being weight haha!) weird he's not fat ive done all the tests on here lol he is going up gradually he was 180g at 6 1/2 weeks is that ok?

Yeah that is about average i think? My boy i think was around 200g when i got him at 8/9 weeks, Kiwi is just really small, apparently both her parents were also smaller hogs so i think she is smaller than your average hog. Even now she is only around 300g

oh thats good i thought i must have given him too many mealies he went up 5-10g the other night after knocking over the mealworms and eating about 20 lol hes cheeky

Here's Rockys weight measurements and age so far......

5 Nov: 7 weeks 4 days -  185g
13 Nov: 8 weeks 5 days -  218g
24 Nov: 10 weeks 2 days -  249g


Is this ok for weight?

He's not wheeling yet, what age should I give him his wheel?

This is just on free fed biscuits with a meal (meat/veg/fruit/combination) every other day mostly except a few times where I've had nothing for him. Is this ok or too much?

I would say that sounds alright for weight, but best have other opinions from people too lol. They should get their wheel when they are 12 weeks old, not before then though.

The diet you are giving also sounds good, that is what most people do but also offer a few mealies per night too x
