A few Questions

I didn't want to hijack anyones thread but have some questions blush

1)What type of flooring do you use?
2)What temperature is it best to keep a tenrec at?
3)How do you guys heat your viv's?
4)What size viv is suitable?
5) are they best kept on their own or with others of their kind?
6)What age do they live to?
7)Are boys or girls more suitable as pets?

1) Finacard
2)room temp
3)red bulb on one end
4)is i think just over 3ft x 2ft
5) can keep on own or in small groups
6)longer than aph cant remember off the top of my head though
7)no difference like aph

1)Shavings
2)I have mine at 24-28, but considering dropping & keeping at room temp as loads of people do this successfully
3)Ceramic Bulb @ 1 end, over a flat rock
4)I have a VX36 Vivarium
5) Either, but only 1 male in any group. Males cant be kept together
6)Not sure 12 years springs to mind but I think I made that up
7)either or, but Girls can be kept together, as can 1 male & 1 Plus females

I love my wombles they make ace pets

Thank you for your replies, the information is much appreciated. I know people do things slightly differently - what works for them and their womble cool

so it is good to have more than one view point.

Do you guys have specific breeders whom you go to? can you recommend who I should go to as obviously I want a healthy womble. I am not looking to breed just want a womble as a pet.

I am hoping to - have Pickles viv now he has moved into my Faith stack, so when I get the viv down stairs and find a suitable place for it will look at finding a womble, have a possibility in hemel hempstead if not I will have to try the lady up leeds way but that would be a hell of a long way to go. Have e-mailed Col but no reply yet
