So my hog won't eat hard food anymore.. :/ Please read
My hedgehog won't eat any hard kibble anymore. She has cancer in her mouth, and had an operation to remove a tumor two weeks ago. Immediately after the operation, she ate her kibble fine. The next day, I gave her a mix of scrambled egg, and hard food, to which she only ate the scrambled egg. Since then, she won't touch hard food *at all*.
At the moment, I'm feeding her scrambled egg, and boiled chicken thigh with pro-c, and a few bits of kibble chopped up into small pieces and soaked in the chicken juice.
She wont eat regular kibble, she won't eat kibble chopped up into tiny pieces or soaked in water, I tried soaking in water tonight and she just laps up the water. I tried going cold turkey and leaving her a night with kibble and she didn't eat anything at all. I tried increasing the amount of kibble i mixed with the chicken but she just leaves it. I'm just really worried that living on chicken and scrambled eggs isn't going to be great for her. Obviously her poops are pretty runny, but I just don't have a clue what do try...
Any alternative healthy soft food suggestions will be appreciated! She's 600g so its not too much of a worry her losing weight with her having cancer, she's actually put on 50g since 2 weeks ago which is worrying again..

Bless her, shes going right through the mill at the moment.
Soak her biscuits in the chicken juice that you boiled it in, make sure its nearly boiling when you do this and just add enough water to cover the biscuits, that way the biscuits should absorb all the water leaving none behind, you can add more water if the biscuits still look dryish (if that makes sense, quite hard to explain lol). Once its finished soaking, mix it all up with a fork just to make sure there are no hard bits.
Some biscuits can turn bitter when soaked, usually go-cat, whiskas that type. Biscuits like purina, iam and james wellbeloved are none bitter tasting when soaked.............don't ask how i know this

Thanks Dink, I will give that a try tonight
We kept her in our room last night to see what she got up to as her wheel didn't look ran in the night before, and for the second night in a row she hasn't used her wheel.. She's started dragging her face across the floor too, its so bizarre though because when you sit with her she's just her regular self, she'll sleep on my lap or have a toddle trying to climb things... but clearly she knows somethings wrong, poor thing :(
