Re: Bonding bags?
I never used bonding bag so I would not know if it works.
I sewn a fleece pouch and usually when I get my Brambles out she its on my lap on fleece blanket. In the beginning I got her out with the pouch and left her in it till she crawled out herself and left her fleece puch on my lap as well so she could use it if she wanted to. Now i just use the fleece blanket. on my lap, but she goes off it, under it, in between it and walks everywhere now.

Re: Bonding bags?
Depends. If you can sit down for a few hours in a day and let a hog nap on you, then no. But they aren't expensive, and do add to your 'arsenal' of methods to keep your hog near you.
Bodhi quite likes snuggling down in a pouch (bonding or normal) on my desk, as it makes it soft for her, as well as secure. I have lap blankets, but I ended up actually using the two I bought from Faith as blankets for inside Bodhi's carrier (one blanket at a time, along with a pouch) to keep her toasty-warm.
It is not something you need, but a lot of people find them useful. It means you can 'bond', while still moving around (or gives the hog a safe place to nap if they are on the edge of the desk, or sofa).

Re: Bonding bags?
No idea what a bonding bag is, but our hoglet is happy sleeping in a fleece on our knee, and most times he loves running up my tshirt crawl in it and sit on my shoulder and sleep there for hours while im watching tv or doing some work. Worked very well with bonding with our hog, hes all happy falling asleep on my hand without any fleece or anything
Make sure the hoglet gets to know ur smell!! Good luck

It is a pouch with a strap that goes around the neck so that the hog is at tummy-level. Same idea as a having a pouch for snuggled-hog bonding, but hands free.

Re: Bonding bags?
I just picked up a 2 year old "Loki" who exclusively lives in his bonding bag, its not like what you have pictured there, but its a bag with two clips on either side so you could wear something around your neck and have him hanging off you. But the guy I got him from didn't provide him with an igloo or anything, he had the bag and a pet pop tent that's about the same size as he is, but he sure does loves that bag.
