play pen
I'm looking to get Chopper a play pen when I get paid later this month.
Just wanted to get people views on what they use?
I found this, does anyone else have one and if so what are your views on it?
Thanks

Re: play pen
I have one of those and I find that they will dissappear under the base lol - I took the base off and put an old blanket underneath. Some use childrens ball pools which can be cheaper and easier access

Re: play pen
I've seen those pens before and was wondering if they could be used as a cage because it is enclosed? Doesn't sound secure if they can get under the base? For a playpen it would be fine as it would be supervised.
I have a ball pit pen (without the balls!) from the Early Learning Centre, this one. I have read on here that Tesco have cheaper play pens. This looks like the same one from ELC, but £3 cheaper Tesco ball pit pen

Re: play pen
They dont seem able to get out - it seems to heavy - but the base attaches with velcro and you will find hedgehogs asleep under it lol

Re: play pen
My three hogs actually live in playpens as I think they provide a fabulous amount of space and ease.
We use the following one:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/230494288394?var=530008753965&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649#ht_1270wt_702
Medium is 1mx1m, large is great but takes up a lot of space. We just keep our large spare for emergencies.
Costing £48 with delivery
The problem of them escaping under the base is easy to solve. All you do, is turn the playpen upsidedown and use the zip on roof as a base. Because it zips around the bottom of the playpen, theres no chance of escape. Then you rest the whole of the playpen on the waterproof layer, to protect any carpet etc underneith. To clean, the base can be unzipped and the waterproof piece both wash at 95' in the washing machine. Anything up the sizes of the enclosure can be wiped off as its waterproof.

I recently bought one from the same seller but slightly bigger, this one.I bought it about 4pm and I got an email to say that it had been dispatched the next morning, very impressed!
I think it's really good, my hog loves it...she has started to go under the base but at the moment it's just when she gets tired and has had enough. And she's always supervised so no problem...she just sits under it anyway rather than pushing right out [so far]

Ahh I hadn't thought of that! Do they not get caught up in it though? Or do you use fleece on top?
