green spikes???

Very bizarre thing happened last night, I got me ole' mate Chopper out and noticed that 2 of this quills had green tips with white spots.

First reaction was "Holy Sh*t what the duck has happened here" so I went about trying to find out exactly what it was by looking really close, i attempted to single the quill to get a closer look and in my attempt the green spotty bit just fell off. Underneath it, was the quill nice and healthy.

I can only presume the spots where the sand from the litter tray but the green tips? and only on 2 quills?

The strangest part is that it was obviously something stuck on there as the quill was totally unharmed and natural underneath.

How odd! Is there anything green in his cage?

I had a similar thing happen to me. A couple of days after I got my hog I took her to the vets just to check her over and to meet the vet. At the time I thought she had red patches on her skin on her head. The vet took a closer look and said "Do you use red fleece?".. Yes I do He extracted the fleece for me!

The only green thing in his viv is a tiki man, but he is ceramic and I doubt it'll be from that.....

It looked like something that has been moldy from water, but he wont have been swimming in his water dish as he hates having a bath!

maybe he annointed from the green tiki onto himself.
just a thought

I think that is a little far fetched lol however I will keep an eye on it and make sure they don't come back!

What has his poop been looking like?
He could be having an off poopy day and had a green poop which got on his quills?
