Advice needed please.

Dave is still not right. I thought he had a respitory infection and has been on baytril for over a week now, but doesn't seem himself. He is not eating biscuits. I have been feeding him Dinks soup and he seems to eat this but about half a bowl full. He hasn't been using his wheel as often either and seems to sleep more.
When he comes out for cuddles he seems fine. He is bright eyed, no obvious symtoms to say he is poorly. He just isn't eating normally or using the wheel as often. He is going to be 2 this year.
Is there anything else I can try to make my boy feel better? Am a bit sad.

awww I do hope he is ok, it sounds like you are doing everything you can for him, maybe just getting older and less appetite etc

Sorry to hear about Dave - my experience from one and only one hog is that at two he wasn't really much different to when he was very young. I'd be surprised if it's his age, but I'm hardly an expert. I assume if he's got Baytril he's been to the vet, have they done blood tests/x-rays to rule out anything nasty? Also wonder whether it might be whether the winter months are affecting him - is he getting enough warmth and light?

Sorry to hear that Dave is still not himself. It might be good to take him to the vet and get him checked out again. please let us know how it went.

I have an appointment with the exotic vet tomorrow. Im very stressed ans worried about him. So fingers crossed they will be able to do something to help him.

How did things go at the vet with Dave?

He's ok. The vet checked him and couldnt find anything wrong so he has to have xrays tomorrow and possibly a blood test too to find out whats going on. They wanted him to stay over night but I couldnt leave him there so he's back home with me.

Dave's doing ok. He had his xrays today and couldnt find anything wrong. He has had a blood test and we have to wait for the results of these.
For the mean time he is on different antibiotics and some special food stuff. He seems a bit brighter.
