Off she went to the vets!

So I took her for her first appointment today as I was concerned she may have mites!

Well the vet wasn't your average exotic vet, she was just a normal vet, but she checked her over whilst placing her on a black table looking for moving mites...
There were only dead skin flakes and no movement..

So just precautionary she placed some droplets on her back told me to repeat the process in 2 weeks time.

Not too sure what this stuff is but it's to prevent mites, I ordered another liner off the internet and I'm waiting on the arrival of it, should be tomorrow so I will clean her cage then.
She also expressed that the reasons behind my baby being so sleepy is possibly because she's cold and trying to hibernate so ordered a large heat matt for under the cage and at the moment I'm using a fan heater in the room she's in to keep her nice and warm.

Are you monitoring the temperature of her viv / cage, if so what temp is it showing. Pixels very sleepy but thats just cos shes a lazy madam who only ever comes out of her own accord to either eat or wheel... the latter of which she will not do if the lights are on so unless I actually wake her up, which ofc demands mealie treats... little diva!! Then i'll only see her scuttle out of her pouch to eat a few biccies, have a drink then scuttle back in to her pouch again.

But sounds good RE the mite stuff, i'd ring the vet and find out what they used aswell then you can be doubly sure its ok.. just to double check as you said its a normal vet and not exotic.

As Zang said, ring up and ask what exactly it was she was given. I found my normal vet useless after telling me they dealt with aph, i turned up and they presumed she was a wild hog!

Haha Zang, that sounds like my two, i have to turn the light off for them to come out...and it usually involves a morio or two for Porridge and mealies for Holly! I swear they are stubborn creatures!
