It is the heatmat and probe for the thermostat (or at least, that is what it looks like to me!). I'd have thought an armoured cable for the heatmat would have been better (and is recommended, even for unlikely-chewers like hogs) for the heatmat. Mine has an armoured cable, although Bodhi has no way to access the cable (I went for armoured on the theory that it was more flexible for future use) - she has chewed on the end of the probe in the past, but not badly enough for me to worry about it.

its Plastic but he's no bothered it yet so ,so far so good i guess
