One hyper hog!

Hi everyone,

I had a really peculiar experience with my 4 month old girly Lula last night...I got her out for a cuddle & she went into hyper hedgie mode! I've never seen her like this at all, she normally has a sniff around for a min & then enjoys snuggling up with me. But last night she was absolutely manic running all over me & not keeping still for even a moment :( i checked her over & couldn't find any problems & put her back in her cage as I was worried I may drop her being as hyper as she was. She then continued to run around in her cage like a hedgie possessed. Really horrible seeing her like that, I've checked her again this morning & she seemed her normal self again.

The only thing I can possibly say has changed is that she had some strawberry 24 hours beforehand, as did my 4 others but none of them were any different to usual.

Do you think it could have been the strawberry that caused this or has anyone got any other suggestions?

All my hogs are undergoing treatment for mites at the moment due to me taking on 3 rescues in the past couple of weeks. I think it's xeno 50 that they are having but there was nothing stated on the leaflet regarding reactions etc.
