Silent Spinner or Flying Saucer ???

Post  Yummy_Mummy_77 on June 28th 2009, 1:54 pm

Hello

I am embarking on buying our first APH and getting all the bits together and ready before buying our hedgie in September.

I was wondering what wheel you all use. From reading on here and couple other p[laces it seems the flying saucer or the silent spinner seem to be the most popular and wondered which you all prefer and why.

I will have one hog in a wooden viv and 1 in a ZooZone cage.

It will help me to decide which to buy! cheers

Personally I have spinners. Which ever you go for it will be an Ebay job as not many places stock the big wheels

I just got my Hog Saturday. I got her a silent spinner from Doolittles pet store in Wolverhampton and after the little bit of studio engineering thats required it fits in my zoozone perfectly and doesn't make much noise at all.

It was £20.00 for the pink and £15 for the blue.

Which is better of 2.
I have now reserved Blade, and have been reading up
read that silent spinners are more natural more people seem to have these, but saucers are easier to clean, less space and cheaper!
Any reason why spinners are more expensive?

no idea on why the spinners are so much more expensive - I have 2 spinners and a Savic (definately not silent!!) spinners are harder to clean but a lot quieter than the Savic which can be noisy when worn - I havent ever liked the look of the flying saucers personally
