Ashleigh Veterinary Centre - exotic specialist, if anyone uses them ask for Aidan Raftery if possible. Doesnt have an exotic vet working weekends or as an emergency.

Pennine Vets - great exotic vet, we were very impressed he was the only vet who would handle our long eared. They have an emergency and weekend exotic vet.

Any one know a vet that's in gloucester? there is one near me but i don't think its an exotic

i found these maybe ring them to make sure tho , they are on the Exotic Pet list i found they are near gloucester i know gloucester very well as i am from stroud but i cant think of any

I phoned and they said that they have vets at this branch that have treated APH's before. They're good as they have an emergency out of hours number and treat animals there at the surgery. I haven't actually gone to these before though.

Hey guys i need a vets near Medway in Kent.
I did take Gizmo to one the other day just for a check up but he didnt seem to be that knowledgeable about them and it said on there website that they see pygmy hedgehogs there!!!!
If you have any ideas please let me know.

I might give them a ring later and just let them know that I have an APH...forewarned is forearmed!

Have just spoke to Strathmore's receptionist and she was as warm as a fridge!!! Was told to ring back in 2-3 weeks as they have changes going on - Thank God I didnt need them urgently!
Was told she couldn't tell me anything due to data protection - all I asked was do they have people registered at their vets that have APH's, didn't want names just a yes or no!
Oh and of course they deal with hedgehogs! And when I said do you deal with APH's or wild ones she said in a snotty voice 'yes'!

We use an amazing vet for our Gecko's and terrapins, Mr.Gilbert (make sure you ask for him and not one of the other vets)

As we will be picking our little hoglet up on 14th November we wanted to be prepared and make sure we had a vet on hand which fingers crossed we will never need, so I called him and he said he has treated many APH's in the past, so there's another vet to add to your list.

He really is wonderful, we had seen many vets before him that were we not entirely happy with but he has always been superb.

He goes between two practices, but luckily for us they are both around an hour from our house so wherever he is we can always get an appointment to see him on the day.

The staff are all lovely and very helpful too, definately can reccommend him as a great vet however with never owning a APH before, I wouldn't know how he'd be at dealing with them but I presume as with all of our other animals he is fantastic, he will most likely be the same with APH's.

If i ever need to visit a vet for Dexter i shall be trying Manor Vets. There are 3 branches around Birmingham.

I emailed them and their Exotic pet specialist at one branch replied saying that she would be happy to see him if needs be.
