Chewed and torn ears :(

When I recieved my hedgie my mother told me her ears were torn from when she was transported up to the pet shop.
I wasn't bothered and it made me love her ten times more but I'm worried about her.
They don't seem to bother her and one is healed as much as I think it could be but then I found a lump on one ear and I'm quite worried about it.
I thought I'd ask your guys opinion on it before I begin to panic too much.

Hi could yoiu get a photo of her ears?

Do they look freyed and dark around the edges?

If so the chances are that she has got very dry ears and under there is nice soft skin.

Get some vit e oil and ear buds. Dip the end of the ear bud into the oil , dont soak it and gently rub it on front and back of her ears. do this every other day for a few days and if dry skin you should almost instantly see the affect within a day or two depending on how long they have been left like this.

Having a photo will help to see if its the above though so please hold of on this until u have posted one up?

Transported to the pet shop? Can you say a little more about that?

Did your mum see her before her ears became sore or was she given this info at the shop.

I've managed to get a few photos but she's so active it was difficult for her to stay still long enough lol!

She saw her ears and enquired and she was told that when Amira was transported to the pet shop she was put in with another female hedgie and they fought and Amira came off the worst.
My mum was going to get me the hedgehog that had hurt her because she felt I wouldn't want one with torn ears, but like I said... I still love her no matter what, she's my little girl which is why I'm so worried incase they're infected.
But also, as I said before she doesn't seem to be in any pain with them.

Could just be scar tissue.

Glad it's not just me then. I'm really glad I did, at least I know I'll look after her properly and she'll get all the attention and care she needs if there is anything wrong where-as some owners might not bother with her. x

her left ear looks fine just a small scab but her right ear looks like there might be a bit of infection. you might be best taking her to the vet who will give you some antibitics to clear it up.
you could also clean it with a small cotton bud and some saline solution

That's what I thought. I'll try cleaning it up first and if I don't see an improvement I'll try and find a vet local to me and get her some antibiotics.
I couldn't bare to see my baby suffer!
