Bug/insect in Chinchilla sand?
hi every one first i will say sorry i haven't been on this forum for aggggeeees! as at school we have been doing a lot of tests and what not to practice for are GCSE'S coming up soon and we have have loads of home work so havent had time to go on here but now it's the half term yey 
Any way i slept round my friends house the other day so my mum was in charge of sieving the chinchilla sand . washing wheel , cahnging water etc etc and she said while sieving the sand she noticed a small bug she said it sort of looked like a head louse? I havent ever noticed anythink before and i checked Pickle and he is clear... any one know what this could of been?

I feed him dried mealies.. couldn't handle live

hmmmmm not sure then - I wouldnt imagine it would have come off Pickle as if they do get bugs then they are teeny tiny - I doubt you would spot one if it fell off and was in the chin sand

I wont bore you with facts, but put it this way, there are billions of billions of insects in the world, lots of species are undiscoverd... Lots look like they are ALIENS, but actually still belong in the UK.. I'm sure it was just an average bug that you find in UK houses and managed to find it's way into the sand. Harmless, natural, and obviously inquisative

If it's just the one insect then I would not worry
could have just got in
one insect doesn't mean you have a problem (not too much lives in chinchilla sand)
but it's easy to get worried I know
