Mesh doors/Glass sliding ones

Post  fuz4eva on May 30th 2010, 1:51 pm

Does it matter which one you have really? & like if you did have the glass sliding ones (like on the vivs) couldn't you just add extra ventilation to the viv instead of having mesh doors? Smile

my momo was fine with glass doors yet holly drove herself nuts with them digging at them until she cut her feet. since i change to mesh she has been fine. my guess would be it depends on the hog but someone else may say otherwise

I do like the look of the glass sliding viv doors, I'm guessing it wouldn't be a big job to change it to mesh doors if something like that did occur with the hogs constantly digging at the glass?
Ive brought 6 vents for my viv when I do get it.

glass is fine with extra ventilation put in - the only thing I found with glass that it traps the smell of urine more

one of mine made a hole in his mesh before I went away last week and ask my OH to cover it/change it for some wire mesh but obviously he ignored me and the little bugger escaped.
I've got some glass ones too and they've been fine, I was worried at first coz many people said they keep in the cold but I found them to be the opposite and now get worried about them getting too warm lol
